Important Information

The In-House options for the age groups are as follows:

13s:  Junior League (District 30 Little League)
14s:  Senior League (District 30 Little League) or Junior League, if appropriate
15s:  Senior League (District 30 Little League)
16s:  Senior League (District 30 Little League)

The Junior and Senior League teams play other LAA teams, as well as teams from Holland and Northampton.  Teams from other areas, such as Deep Run, may enter the league as well.

For the 17 and older players, whether we have an In-House option will depend on the number of registrations for that age group.  That group will play in another league, since District 30 Little League does not have a program for 17+ at this point.   I'll pursue those arrangements as necessary, based on the registrations.

"Travel" options for the ages are:

13s:  Suburban Travel
14/15s:  Suburban Travel (ages combined)
16+:  Senior Babe Ruth (Summer League)
16+:  Sunday League (Spring)

If you're interested in trying out for Suburban Travel (13 or 14/15), or Senior Babe Ruth (16+), please just indicate that on the registration form.  The other coaches and I will figure things out from there, and make the necessary contacts.

Suburan Travel players in both age groups are required to play in the In-House program, just like in the younger age groups.  I understand this can create challenges for players who are also playing in school, but I feel this is the best arrangement for player development and the overall quality of the league.  The parents, coaches, and players all just need to work together, and we've found that any issues can be dealt with over the years.

Senior Babe Ruth players will be expected to also play in a spring Sunday League that is being arranged.  Fees for Senior Babe Ruth and the spring Sunday League will be determined and collected from players making the SRBR roster.  It is possible there may be openings in the spring Sunday League for non-SRBR players, but that will be determined by the coaches after the registrations are in.  It is not necessary for SRBR players to play in the In-House league, but they can if they want to.  In either case, please register using the same registration form, and pay the In-House fee.  Indicate on the form the desire to try out for Senior Babe Ruth.    The other SRBR coaches and I will sort everything out as far as fees and things after the SRBR selections are made.

Legion Players are not eligible for In-House play in District 30 Little League, at this point.  I'm assuming anyone playing Legion (Prep or Junior) has already been in touch with those coaches and things are moving ahead.  Please contact Tom Smith if you have any questions about the Legion Program ([email protected]).

I hope to see everyone on the field in a few months!  I couldn't be prouder that our program for the 90 foot field has grown so much over the last few years!!  We've gone from having a single Junior American Legion team a few years ago to well over 100 kids in the various 90 Foot Programs last year!!

I'm looking forward to even more of the older kids playing on the big field this year, and in the years to come!

Again, please feel free to pass this along to others.  Click here for more information or email me with any questions.
