CPR/CPR-D Coaches Certification Class
Oct. 31, 2011

Hello Coaches and Parents -

Langhorne Athletic Association continues to administer the Risk Management Policy set forth by the Executive Board. The policy is designed to create a safe environment for all players associated with LAA and LUSC and supports and adopts strong measures to improve the physical safety and security of LAA, LUSC, and all of its members. There are four key components as follows:

· NCSI Background Check or EPYSA Background Check

· CPR and CPR-D Certified

· Sports First Aid Certified

· Concussion Awareness Class

In the very near future it will be a prerequisite that coaches complete all four components to receive approval to coach, obtain a board position, or a seasonal volunteer at LAA.

With that said, Langhorne Athletic Association and Bucks County Safe Kids have scheduled the American Red Cross Sports First and Adult/Child CPR program:

Date: November 15, 2011

Time: 6 – 10 p.m.

Location: St Mary's Hospital Child Care Center

All Coaches will need to be certified in CPR by September 1st 2012 as part of the Risk Management initiative at LAA. There is NO COST for current and new coaches as LAA will cover the $15 fee per coach.

Parents interested in participating may register and will need to pay the $15 fee prior to the class.

To register or receive more information, please call 410.215.0305 or email president@langhorneaa.org by November 10th. Space is limited so please respond immediately.

Please contact me with any questions.

Thank you and Best Regards,

Stephen Schrack
President
